New Route to Museum Hill
Starting May 1, 2013, residents and visitors can take the Santa Fe Pick-Up shuttle to Museum Hill and visit the Museum of International Folk Art, the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian, the Museum of Spanish Colonial Art, and the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture.
Overview
The Santa Fe Pick-Up shuttle service is a great way for train passengers to get around once they step off the Rail Runner Express, or others who want a fast, free way to get around downtown, and Canyon Road.
The routes start and end in front of the former New Mexico Film Museum (the old Jean Cocteau Cinema) on Montezuma Avenue and run counter-clockwise around downtown with stops at:
- The Capitol/PERA building
- The Cathedral Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi
- The Main Library / City Hall
- The Santa Fe Community Convention Center / Santa Fe Plaza
- Eldorado / Hilton Hotel
- Four stops on Canyon Road
- One stop at Alameda and Paseo de Peralta
Stops are marked "Pick It Up Here." An entire route takes about 20 minutes. The shuttle drops off passengers at other places along the route if it is safe to stop there.

Two shuttles run from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday. There is a continuous circulating shuttle that picks up or drops off at each designated stop approximately every 15 to 20 minutes, depending upon traffic conditions. There is no Sunday service. For more information contact Parking Off-Street Supervisor Javier Alarcon at 505-231-2573.
Each shuttle features a graphic of a classic red pickup truck next to an adobe house with mountains in the background, by local artist William Rotsaert.
