Domestic Violence Awareness Month Press Conference and Shrine - Oct. 7
The City and County of Santa Fe are joining forces to protect survivors of domestic violence, and their children, and to hold perpetrators of domestic violence accountable. This Press Conference outline these new efforts. A shrine commemorating domestic violence victims and survivors will be created in the County building. Community members are invited to bring memorabilia of friends and family who have suffered from domestic violence to place on the shrine.

“Faces of Santa Fe Children and Youth, 2009” Photography Exhibit - Oct. 16
Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Children and Youth Commission. Santa Fe photographer Don Usner took over 1000 photographs of children in twelve of the thirty-five funded programs. The twelve photographs selected to be printed and framed represent the range of ages, birth through young adulthood, and the variety of programs that are priorities for the Commission.
